Great pictures Joe.
Nice pics Joe. I like the hotel, not so much the community centre though.

Fine photographs once again, Joe. :handclap:
Many thanks for sharing them with us!
Cheers

Great thread Joe, many thanks. Hopefully we can build this up with loads of new builds!
Not strictly a new building, but a refurbished one.
I like the Beetham Plaza. It was a 1960's office block now converted into bigger and better offices, also luxury apartments and restaurant.
Joe, that last one holds the winning hand for me. :)
Great thread, great pictures.

Nameplate over the entrance to the new museum , sorry about the quality of the pic it`s just a tiny part of the whole pic
Well newish compared to some.
This was the scene a few weeks ago. Location, the mirrored building on the corner of Leeds Street and Old Hall street taken just in case anyone tries to tell you there's a bank of computer operators sitting behind this glass looking out at you but you can't see them :)

I've only ever seen this building with one of it's panels broken. There is such a thing called 'honesty in construction'. The glass building is a deceit. It's masonry blockwork behind the shiny glazed facade - well, on the lower storey at least. Maybe it's become inviting to those who throw bricks, as Shatterproof ruler's were to those of us in class?

I'd prefer a tower of shipping containers than this wallpapered slab.
Typical of the liverpool city council....brick it up rather than replace.:)
I know, but LCC where thinking ahead when they built the place ie we don't have to send the workmen out to board it up. lol

New dwellings on Canalside Park called Sibert House for rent or sale. On the corner of Eldonian Way and Vauxhall Rd.
Named after Fr. Sibert of Our Lady of Reconcilliantion church who died last year.
New apartments built on Great Crosshall Street. These, on the corner of Standish Street are built on the site of Holy Cross Church and Presbytery and from where St. Patrick is said to have preached before going to Ireland. They stand side by side with flats built 5 decades earlier.

These new apartments on Cunliffe Street replaced old derelict warehouses and breath new life into an area bereft of residential properties since the houses from nearby Vernon Street were demolished in the 1920s and 30s. The Premier Inn now stands in their shadow, Cunliffe Street could be passed by if you blinked and is situated between Cheapside and Vernon Street.

Flats are the most depressing places to live, you're limited to what you can do in them ie if you're into woodwork you cannot have all sorts of power tools operating or banging, the ceilings/floors just echo any noise.

Visited the Eric de Mare`s photo exhibition Timeline in the "Wedge" on Mann Island, used the opportunity
to take some pics from inside
Nice pics. Was the exhibition any good. Enjoyed the Echo atrium one of Wynne-McCoys you put us onto. A couple of Gerard Crescent ones that were up my street - liked the old dock road ones too - pre toys r us and Costco.
Some good ones Ged,he was mainly known for his architecture work, the prints were for sale wholeplate size at £20
each.
