lens, thus you have foreshortening of the ship. Notice the man in the bow he is either polishing the bell or ringing eight bells.

The sailor would not be polishing bells in that light. Unless he had been a 'bad lad.' lol

My dad used to take me to see an 'Empress' boat at the Pier Head in the 60s. I'm not sure if it was the Empress of England or the Empress of Canada. Anybody know which one it was likely to be?
