Colin, you come up trumps once again. Living just a few hundred yards along Christian Street in Gerard Gardens, this pub, which i've only seen in black and white before was known locally as Cassons and was one of my parents locals. :handclap:

Was your doctor Doctor Goldberg Ged?
He was just off Islington and I used to always be amazed at all the Shelves behind him full of colored pills :)

No H, our family Dr Was Dr Connolly in the old Georgian buildings of Everton Brow, the likes of which Colin talks about being lost in his write up here. When those great big houses were demolished Dr Reid took over and was in the ground floor flat in a block of 3 storey flats on Watmough Street off Everton Brow. He later moved into Great Homer Street health centre.
I know the one you're on about though in Islington Square. That's still a Doctors as well as the yellow fever clinic now.

Hope you don't mind Colin. A little then and now shot. Yours from c1965 and a Liverpool Records Office shot of the TGWU building from 1979. The original Union building was on the corner from where the man is crossing on Colin's pic, in another lost fine georgian building which can be seen on my site. Which was best - vote now.
