A former Mersey Railway electric train, almost 70 years old is holding on by a thread. It's a disgrace that a permanent home for it on Merseyside has not been found.
Surely there is space to park it somewhere adjoining the Merseyrail network?

To lessen the risk of further deterioration the surviving coaches need to be moved asap into dry secure covered storage. There appears to be nowhere on or around Merseyside meeting these requirements but I understand it is possible that secure storage space has been identified and if sufficient funds can be raised these coaches will shortly be moved. Unfortunately, this is not on Merseyside.

I can remember as clear as day riding on those trains, I lived in Waterloo so any trip to anywhere from the station was on those units...it seems a real shame that it is just being left there to seemingly rot away, a real shame
