The old water tower on the corner of Margaret St and Hodgson Place. built in 1864,a cast iron tank 12 ft deep sits 90 ft off the ground supported by pillars that wouldn`t be out of place in a cathedral

Yeah. Our schools baths lessons were in Margy right by here. Does look good all lit up purplish blue at night and can be seen for miles around.

I really like this pic. Got quite a few city engineers aerial views. This one shows part of the South Everton slum clearance area West of Shaw Street. Radcliffe, Eastbourne and Westbourne Streets have been readied for the much maligned Radcliffe Estate. The Water Tower is prominent, as are the piggeries and Sheil Road heights.
