THE PEOPLE DEVELOPING THIS CITY
You will all know about my views regarding South Liverpool Parkway and their proposed Traffic layout.
Well here is an update for you on the people who are given the go ahead to build something in this city.
John Waddington of Merseytravel has been in touch with a local councillor and has informed the councillor that Merseytravel have the support of local residents for the proposed traffic changes in the area.
I can categorically state that Merseytravel DO NOT HAVE THE SUPPORT OF THE RESIDENTS in the area. Merseytravel representatives tried to intimidate residents by visiting them at their homes last week. 3 of the residents would not open their doors and the rest told Merseytravel to stick their plans as they did not agree with them. So how does John Waddington get to the result that the residents agree with the plans. Luckily this local councillor has asked for the proof from John Waddington to back up what he says. He won't have the proof!!!!
Is it any wonder that Merseytravel are being called under handed in their dealings over the Tram project.
Give some people a bit of power and they think they run the city. I hope the local councillor stands by the residents in the way he is doing lately.
SOUTH LIVERPOOL PARKWAY & GARSTON CE SCHOOL
Sorry to harp on - but the community is wondering whether the site of Garston CE School has been earmarked for part of this development. The new walkway to the station is right behind the school. I know, I know another conspiracy theory - but although nothing has been lodged for planning permission (they would say, that wouldn't they?) you just have to wonder dontcha??? If anybody knows, the Save our School Committee would be glad to know too.
FRANKIE SAY - THE SCHOOL MUST STAY!!!!!
(Roderick, that is!!!)
The Truth is out There!!!
Great Big Well Lit Computer Superstores
Another thing that is getting on my nerve - PC world in Horrocks Avenue. Nothing against the store as such but why do they have to suck the life out of the national grid for 18 hours a day. The lights are on until about 11 at night - it's lit up better than Anfield. Folks nearby have to go to bed with their sunglasses on.
Gripe no. 2 - getting out of the junction is horrendous - have to give way to everyone before moving over - spoke to councillor Roderick - he says the there has to be accidents before our wonderful council will act!!!
Seems they only work in damage limitation doesn't it??
They say round here that there are two things visible from space - the Great Wall of China and PC World in Garston.

Visually imparied by Big Well Lit Computer Superstores
I've never been in it when it has been in the new place - send the kids down for paper and stuff - live quite close as you probably gathered. I always think it would be stupid if I bought something big and couldn't carry it and then had to go home and get the car!!! S'pose I could rob a trolley - but that would be very wrong:ninja: So end up driving further away just in case I buy something big - which I never do......
Costco is better anway..
