Byrom Terrace, 1933
The media’s fascination with Liverpool is not a recent phenomenon. Hi Ged - plenty more to come and none of them LRO. It is amazing how much stuff is out there!

Reading Street, top pic 1936,bottom 1957 with the last families moving out.
Notice the upright timber supports keeping the landings up in the later pic, these were put in after a mother and child were injured when the landing collapsed being supported by only wrought iron angles
The wooden supports were made of greenheart wood so when we youngsters slid down them instead of using the stairs,we would sometimes get a splinter which would require a visit to Stanley Hospital for an injection.

These terraces remind me of photographs/ paintings of old galleried Inns. This is the George, one of the last surviving examples, off Borough High Street, Southwark, London.
