Wish I'd had a camera in those days, brilliant mate, brilliant.
grekko, my dad had an old "BROWNIE BOX CAMERA" not to be dis-respectful to my dad who passed away in 1991 when we were kids we thought that he had lost the plot as it seemed every time we woke up he had a camera in his hand, as I grew up I started to ask question's of my mum and she told me my dad had very abusive childhood from both his own dad & his step mother and he was happy he had kid's of his own that he was proud to take photo's off that's why I was so very upset when we had a fire all those years ago and all our childhood history went up!! just a foot note I have not told this story to get pity or you to feel sorry

yes grekko dad had the most wonderful love for his kids Butlins twice a year different one every year for 2 weeks and then we were told very sternly, if you haven't saved your going to have 2 bad weeks? then when we got there here, here's enough money for today as all the rides were free, BUT as kids we didnt realise how much he loved he loved us until we were teenagers then we just accepted it as normal way of life, but as you say grekko his love and the memories will never go away now years & years later now i'm married for the 2nd time, from the kids were 8/9 they won't have any photo's taken heads down on their chest dad don't like photo's, as I said all the wedding photo's went up the ones you see on my profile album's are the ones funny enough was BORROWED from my mum haha
I'm constantly taking photos of the grandchildren, I hope they will be a reminder in the future of the good times they had. I don't have any photos of myself when I was a kid, except for an xmas one in TJs, maybe it was because I was a bloody ugly child, anyway you can't take to many !

The LEGO builders are busy in New Brighton Morrisons is open and Home Bargains is nearly finished,
You could see Liverpools coast line from this view point once.
In these days of clever architects it could have been possible to build the supermarkets underground and put cafes and parks on the front for everyone to use. Those buildings are a real blot on the landscape and deprive many from enjoying a superb outlook. It will be interesting to chart the life span of those building and watch how soon the rot sets in.Imagine the eyesore that is Great Homer St on New Brighton front.
