hi all i am currently looking for a photo of my nan ellen..It is a picture of her carrying a bundle of washing on her head either going or coming from a washouse near soho street...The pic is meant to be in a book about old liverpool and has also been made onto a postcard..I dont know if her name is mentioned..any info will be glady recieved..

There is a book "Talk of the Wash House" by Peter Ellison and Paulette Howe, which uses the famous picture of 3 women with bundles on their heads, as its' cover. I haven't read it, though, so don't know if the women are named.
