I had a nose around their domain by editing their website address and came across:

When I saw the name Joyce Whitworth, it rang a bell but I couldn't for the life of me work out why until I remembered that the clock face in Lime Street has exactly the same name!
I see Birkenhead had a "Town Station"; anyone know where this was????
It was at the corner of Grange Road & Tunnel Road on the 'L & N W & G W Joint Railway Birkenhead Line', which terminated at Woodside.
This is the 1909 OS map.

Interestingly, the map shows a number of anomalies - such as showing Egerton Dock WEST of Tower Road (and cut off from the Great Float).
The publication date of this map appears to pre-date Vittoria Dock (1909) but post-date the renaming of Seacombe station to Seacombe & Egremont (1901).
One thing that blew me away was to realize that the dock railway used to connect the Wirral railway at Seacombe to Alfred Dock! I remember Seacombe station in the 1950s, I don't remember any lines leading from it towards the docks.
Hopefully one day there will be trams connecting Wallasey with the docks and Birkenhead again.
Oh, and on an unrelated topic, does anyone know where exactly the Merchant Navy office at Morpeth Dock was located? The place where merchant sailors got their "Continuous Discharge" books.
