Nice pic Lindy. Relief sculptures by Herbert Tyson Smith whose workshop was to the rear of Bluecoat Chambers. He made the Gerard Gardens statues as well as the bronze relief on the cenotaph (which features himself and his mother), he also done a few engraved tablets in St. Johns Gardens and inscribed the Anglican Cathedral foundation stone amongst others.

Thanks all. I'd just been thrown out of the records office - no I wasn't farting - it was 5pm on Saturday and very eerie outside but the obligatory ice cream van was still outside the museum :)
Brilliant picture Ged , looks eerie , like something from a horror movie , you have captured it perfectly ..
Just goes to show you then - evocative to both extremes. To me, it just looks like Pete Doherty is smoking a joint in front of me lens.
