All extracts from 1848 OS map [LRO].

Photograph - Rear of Grafton Street and Upper Mann Street - Date 11/06/1934 [LRO]
The Royal Southern Hospital can be seen in the distance left [on Hill Street] Mann Street is parallel to the Hospital and leads from Hill Street to the Brewery shown in the distance. Mann Street would be where the chimney is shown in the far right.

Albert Street as shown on the 1848 OS map [below] was later renamed "Darnley Street".
"Owens Pl" off Albert Street was also renamed as "Court No.10" on later editions. By 1891 all the buildings on the north side of Court No.10 were demolished and the four remaining buildings on the south side of the Court would have looked out on to open land [this was the situation in 1891 - the remaining Court No.10 buildings had been demolished by the time of the 1906 map revision].

Sorry, double post.
Thank you ever so much- very much appreciated. I'm turning into a family tree addict so all information is very much appreciated. Many thanks and Happy New Year
You're welcome Lelly. I'm glad you're enjoying the family research...once the bug bites it's hard to stop.
"Llewellyn Street" was later renamed "Shelley Street" from a reliable source/ friend.
Llewellyn Street [later Shelley Street], 1848
"GELLING TERRACE" on Llewellyn Street was later renamed "Court No.8" on Shelley Street. It's the same row of houses. [Click on the map below, and then click two more times to zoom-in on the detail.]

Oops, my Dad just emailed me - it was Mill Street, Liverpool 8, outside the Brass Bars pub.
Amazed he can remember that far back! he he he
Hi Kimilena, welcome. I am from Liverpool 8. I remember Mill Street.
I used to visit the bike shop on Mill Street to get parts and puncture repair outfits. Tough climb getting up that hill.
Lelly mentioned Tamworth Street on the first post of this thread.
Taken on 25th Sept 2004 by J. Campbell and donated to the LRO as long as not for commercial use - here is Tamworth Street.
