Hello, i am trying to find out where Alessandro (alexander) Capaldi lived in Liverpool, anytime between 1914 and 1956.
Please can anyone with access to any directory in this time, see if he is in there?
Failing that i have knowledge of an A. Capaldi in Wavertree rd, but i dont know his full name.
Please help?

I rang the estate agents today on 266 smiothdown, just trying to get any info on previous owners etc, to see if Alex had any children, as i'd like to get in touch, but no luck unfortunately!

great to read so many good comments about capaldi s ,just to let people know i am the owner of capaldi s cafe and it will be ten years in january since me and donna took over the businnessafter four previous owners.the capaldi family still live above the shop and i see mandi nick and carri on a daily basis .if you look at the foto of the shop carri can be seen in the window above.sorry we no longer sell that wonderfull ice cream,but it is the best food around so we are told .can anyone get me a copy of the record by deaf school about capaldi s.aromando has told me the group were always in the cafe but i have never heard the track myself.thanks for the comments ,keith irwin

That shop beleive it or not, after your info you gave martin, was started by Antonio of Wavertree rd and passed on to his sons Armando and Ernesto.
Alex Capaldi in Smithdown rd is my relations shop!
I dont suppose it would be a bit too much if i asked if you could look at the business section under 'Milk Bar' or 'Confectioners' or 'Cafe' or some shop for Capaldi, in your directory could you mart?
