Do they do tours from mancland to the mersey too ?
Or perhaps a much nicer way to travel to Manchester!, better than along the East Lancs Road!!!! (am I in the past again?):PDT_Aliboronz_11:
Smurfy. The outward tour from Liverpool buses you back then the ferry comes back with Mancs on it who are bused back from this end or at least that was what happened a few years ago.
I've never been to Manchester. It's so near too - but never been in my life!
I've been a few times to the M.E.N. and with the girls shopping. It's a great city centre with their cathedral in it. Lots of historical and fine architectural buildings. Been on their big wheel too - well worth a visit. That little olde worlde pub in the centre is cracker too.
The nearest I've been to Manchester is the curry mile - but I think that is Moss Side ??
Went there once or twice a long time ago, but haven't seen any of Manchester or the town centre.
I understand the football teams aren't half bad either. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2545/...a0fc7145_o.gif
Well I've been wee'd on at Old Trafford from the bar stewards above, not so bad at Maine Road (haven't been the new city of Manchester stadium)
Come from Bolton and used to go to the city centre in the 80s regularly, Some cracking record shops, in the Underground Market and Robinsons (before the IRA redecorated - we heard that go off and we lived 8 miles away)... Then drinking and gigs at the International 1 and 2. Different place nowadays, very Shopping orientated, though not much for the casual visitor as far as musums etc are concerned to be honest.
BTW Lindy the (infamous) Curry Mile is Rusholme :)

Derelict Corner in Garston,I`m beginning to like these wall gardens
Good photograph, Joe... though a bit depressing!
Plenty to look at in that photo - the shape of the building, the attic windows, the painted flowers on the shutters, the 'wall garden' :)
The shop on the corner was a greengrocers in the 60/70`s I`ve been informed
