BTC Tanker British Oak
A new arrival in Esquimalt Harbour, wearing the old BTC livery, is the tanker British Oak. She has four davits along her port side accommodating four of those huge egg shaped rubber fenders. I was unable to see her stern, so don't know her registry. I looked it up on the Old Ships site, and all I could find was an old Fifties style tanker of the same name.
What have you got on her, Cap'n? Anybody else?

That's her alright. Many thanks for that Az-gilla. There are five photos of her, accompanying that link, and all of them taken around local waters. She may be supporting the Cherry Point, Washington, refinery as a "lightening" fixture for the bigger ones coming in from Valdez.
I was under the impression that BTC had long ago become part of BP, so it was a bit of a surprise to see the old funnel again. Again, thank you.
