Great pic. Are those gulls or Afghan hound wigs? :)
Ha,ha, very good Ged :)
come to think of it, it's rare to see an Afghan Hound now isn't it. They were very fashionable at one time - but you don't see them now.
Remember Chris Amoo winning Crufts with his Afghan ? :PDT_Piratz_26:
Afghans were very fashionable in the 1970s.
Beautiful animals, but they need to run a lot.
I think they're one of the fastest dogs.
I knew somebody who had one, but the poor dog died very young.
Here's the same view over 100 years ago.
This postcard is from my collection.
(I say that because most of my postcards on my flickr page are now on somebody else's site).

Quincy. Nice photo, I think it must be one of the lesser spotted SLB's, I've recently photographed over 50 for a calendar and I didn't even see this one. Well done :)
Nice pic quincyg...It almost looks camofla...camoflaug...Hidden!
funny you say that, as I came into the gardens in the middle I didn't actually see the SLB at first. only when I noticed a few people at the far end with cameras I realised where it was.
Nice pic Quincy. :)

If development wasn't totally profit orientated this area could be made into a a nice little mini nature reserve and leisure spot.
