Well in Lindylou. It seems Mandy and her boyfriend are there too, did she email you to go as a foursome/fivesome?
In case anyone doesn't know.
As part of the Liverpool Historic Society event at Hope Uni on Shaw Street, Everton.
Gardens of Stone will be screened and my model will be on display.
It is recommended that you arrive at 1.30 pm on sunday 16th for the 2pm screening as there are 80 seats taken already by the Historical Society members.
All the best,
Ged.
I like the title The Rise and Fall I lived in Dingle Mount during the sixties then one day I was driving past and it wasn't there. When I hear 'Pretty Flamingo' by 'Manfred Man' it always take me back there.
Well as this story could be about any of the citys tenements and having read your piece on bommy night Paddy. It sounds like a must see for you too as both feature heavily.
It is difficult being based down here but I am sure it will be interesting perhaps something can be posted. It amazes me the amount of blocks that still exist in London.
Yes, you always see Londons art deco tenement landing blocks on the likes of The Bill or when london's burning used to be on. Also on news reports, interview backdrops or those Home programmes that there's so many of nowadays.
Pics of Dingle Mount can be found here if you haven't already partaken paddy.

Details of the film and its screening can be found here, including small excerpts of it.

Click any of the pictures to take you back to the home page where there's lots of other pages full of photos.
I helped Nick Raynsford get in to the Fulham seat in London I remember going up the steps of a block that was just like Dingle Mount. What struck me was the graffiti on the walls it was as if I had wrote it, yet it was tenenement kids who had done it in a different city.It kind of scared me but it was also facinating as life experiences for people with different dialects are often quite similar. I was born in Warwick Gardens. I have visted most of the blocks in the pictures for one reason or another. One block has me miffed Woodstock Gardens I dont remember the name.Yet I bet I will know where itwas .
I posted this info up yesterday on the advice of Ged in the "Little Italy" thread as Debz will be promoting her book there along with Pauls film.
So I certainly am looking forward to seeing a few of you there.:PDT11
My friend, Biffo the Bouncer was brought up in the Bull Ring.
I'm sure he'd love to see "Gardens of Stone".
looking forward to a meeting at last then :unibrow:
.. perhaps we can chat and you can explain to me why you posted some ungallant comments about me on SSC.
should we chat before or after the G of S showing ? - might be better afterwards when we have more time.
An opportunity not to be missed. It's to our own benefit that this evening brings individuals together, with a shared interest in Liverpool and the G of S. That is after all why we are all here on Yo!
I wonder if we'll get any explanations why people are still getting "stalked"?
One lady in particular is still being harassed.
And I find what are supposed to be "Intimidating" messages in my profiles.
If ever the expression "Get a life" was relevant it belongs to this person.
I still don?t know where Woodstock Gardens where situated? that was the only one I didn?t know. I bet when someone tells me I will know. I write poetry quite a lot and I would love to write one about the tennies that could become part of the history. I have quite a few good ideas so if anyone can use my poem let me know. I thought the show at myrtle gardens was such a nice photo. It reminds you of how we where and the innocence and love. I bet the ice cream man made a fortune.
You can chat now if you want. And what ungallant comments? You don't mean about "the clique" and the way you stuck up for some creep. Asl me and I shall tell you.
As for should we chat after or before, Well what makes you think I would want to chat to someone who stuck up for a creep who threatened my better half ? Sure I will gladly have no problem telling you what I think:PDT_Piratz_26:
PhilG ,who is being harrassed.? Shouldn't you tell the admin ? I would.
Be a man and say what you think instead of agreeing with others.
Next?:handclap:
I do say what I think.
If the lady wants to identify herself, that's up to her.
How brave are you sending her unwanted emails, and all the other underhanded things you do when you know no Admins are involved?
You're a sad coward John, and you've been banned from Scousehouse for Intimidation.
Cliques?
What about MyLiverpool?
Somebody told me there's a thread which admits as much.
Next? You ask.
I'll let them answer.
We shall see who's a coward!
1/ Intimidation ? You mean you looked at my profile and I returned it with "You looking for me" .
2/ Banned.I left a reply on SH knowing you wouldn't like it and knowing it would get me banned. It was how "a certain person thought he was the know all and the resident photographer on here and how he bullied 2 women on here and how he agreed with everything someone else said". You mean that.Ha. How true.
As for getting into a slanging match on hereI won't. You've tried that with others and failed. Go back to the SH where you can PM to your little hearts delight. I know you love the gossip.
If there is any women out there tht I have pm'd,or emailed anything bad to well I apologise but please do come forward as I meant no harm if I did.
PhilG go get more gossip and try again.
Oh and in a polite way "May your sH1t come to life and kiss you on the lips".
Now go and play on another forum.
