Does anyone remember this first attempt at a Beatle museum,in Seel st? It opened up in the early 80's,I think, but didn't last very long! The last time I passed, the building was headquarters of P.S.S.

Yes I do as I went in there. Funny thing is, I remember it being yellow not orange ;)
Yes i remember , i never went in there though .
Yep... what I remember about it was their replica of the Cavern.
It was too clean and air conditioned....:)
The stuffy atmosphere and sweat dripping from the ceiling was part of the ambiance of the original....
I also remember very few actual items from the Beatles themselves.
Was it on Slater St.?
It was near the bottom of Seel Street by the Rapid Hardware Pine centre which later housed the garden stuff. Not a patch on the current Beatles Story.
I went on the Beatles Tour in 2002.. Went into that building ..Looked like the yellow submarine (if I recall correctly) with the windows at that time... Then, in 2008 with Robbo and Lindalou..went to see the Ronnie Wood art exhibite in it.. Nice big art venue..
Ged,..anyone, do you know what happened to the exhibits, etc, when it closed? Was there any connection to the Beatles story? I think Ringo's Mini, was one I remember!
Ged.....any info'?
I think it's the same people but don't know for sure. I just remember the Beatles Story growing out of the earlier Beatle City.
I have a plastic shopping bag from there. There was a gift shop
Here is the bag. Photo was of my 'campaign' coat I wore to go door to door in PA for Barack. Yes, for those with good eyesight there IS a Lennon pin in the mix, lol Many people noticed it and all thought it was fun. One guy called inside to his wife to say, 'Got a Liverpudlian here campaigning for the Obama-Lennon team!'

Great photo Ronnie , and a great story to go with it :)
Now I am really embarrassed, it was still there, just had a dressing gown over it! When I originally looked it must have slid inside the gown! Silly me:PDT_Aliboronz_11:
Anyway, does not have an address, just took a photo for this thread.

I can't help but smile Ronnie , i do things like that all the time :)
I had the YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE info that I had been handing out in PA. The one with the pic of Barack that came to fame. That little flyer will be worth money one day, lol Want some?
I have Beatle stuff which used to be in there. Those little Beatle magazines, a 1964 Newsweek magazine (now framed and on the wall) an English bubblegum card signed by John and my Cavern card (both now in a frame) The psychedelic posters! All have lived in the bag at some point, lol
