I don't know whether there is any info within another thread, but does anyone have any info or photos of the Stadium in Old Hall St. I know it was demolished in the 80's. My wife has discovered that her great grandfather, who went by the name of Nat Williams for boxing, his real name was James Arnold Thompson, was the last man to fight at the stadium before it closed before the war, and was subsequently invited to be the first man to fight at the stadium when it reopened. We would be very grateful if anyone had any info about him and his boxing career and any thing about the stadium.
