The specific reason for my visit to Maghull is because i'm endevouring to research 4 houses on Kennessee Green which is part of Station Road. Believed to have been built in 1869, they are numbered from No.11 through to 17 inclusive. No.11 is called Lynwood House, No.15 is Penlee.
After consulting with the LRO who referrred me to Sefton R.O. at Crosby library, this turned up zilch as did their referral to Lancashire R.O. at Preston. It appears that local practitioner Dr. John Rowlands has written a few books on Lydiate and Maghull so having had to luck in Ormskirk's Waterstones my next stop is the library unless anyone here can kindly shed any light on their history.
Here are Nos.11 and 13.
