Got off the train at Sandhills station yesterday and decided to walk into town via the canal, as I reached the Boundary Bridge I took a pic of all the rubbish
thrown in the water on one side, walked a few yards under the bridge and low before my eyes was a nice rural scene.
When I reached the end of the canal I walked up to Vauxhall Road to have a look at Eldon Grove, took a few more pics, then thought I`d take some old pub pics in the area. Next I walked to the Midland pub opposite Central station to have my pint before catching the Kirkby train home. Rang the missus up so my tea would be ready when I got home, As you can see it`s hard being a pensioner these days.
P.S. I have no sidekick with me now as he`s started school but I still find myself looking around for him when I`m out

More canal pics, the top one showing the old cast iron jetties used by Tillotsons cardboad factory which was on this site, and the next a view from
a bridge over the canal with the old British American tobacco factory, now converted to apartments, in the distance
Nice and serene GD. Great colour of the water or is that the reflection of the sky?
Makes a change from the cars pictured here as taken by Ron last month.

Thank-you! It was a pleasant walk.
I walked straight down Landford Ave from Higher Lane, and caught the 19 back into town. Although I wish I hadn't, the trees along the East Lancs were glistening in the afternoon sun! Wanted to jump off and get more images!
Utting Avenue by Broadway had a good autumnal scene the other week, I think its passed now.
Hi Shy, I wandered down by your old patch yesterday, this was'nt your old shop was it?
I had a silly accident after taking this shot, went base over apex down the bank and got covered in mud. Port sunlight lived up to it's name though.
Another shot in Port Sunlight, before my fall
