Penny Lane Childhood

THE AUTHOR of a book chronicling his Penny Lane childhood will read excerpts at The Beatles Story next week.

Stan Williams will appear at the Albert Dock attraction to talk about his book Penny Lane Is In My Ears And In My Eyes.

The memoir tells Stan?s story of growing up in the now-famous area of Liverpool, alongside former Beatles John Lennon and George Harrison.

Mr Williams said: ?Penny Lane is where I grew up and where my childhood was spent. It is where I spent my teenage years.?

He will give his talk on Thursday February 26. Doors open at 7pm.
