This is "rural" Kirkby, by Mill Brook. Notice the pack horse bridge sadly gone now and replaced with a steel one.
Taken in 1967 so my kids are all 40 now.

Thats a nice photo to have. I love the snow.
Ah i've just noticed that Gregs Dad is 'exacta' on Flickr. Check out his photos coz some of them are brilliant especially the Liverpool return with the cup in 1965 and the Police Bikes turning into Lime St station. Fabulous! My mate was overwhelmed with excitement when he saw them as he is the Merseyside Police archivist of Liverpool Police vehicles.

Great photos, everyone! Those black and whites of yours are brilliant, Greg's dad. Also wonderful to see the packhorse bridge. Sorry to hear it had to be demolished. :(

Smashing photos Chippie. :handclap: Thanks for sharing :)
Well done Chippie, excellent :handclap:
it doesn't snow at all wher i live, although i remember the bad times trying to drive in it i really do miss it, walking home from the alehouse, the snow would absorb any sound, give off light in the darkest of streets and although it was cold gave of a secure warmness, tried to describe it to my kids but "you had to be there" we do have snow further down the north island on the ski fiels but thats a poor substitute for it dropping in you street........... plus when we were kids in the 60's you would get the odd day off school if it was really thick..
great pic of the bridge, sad it's gone it lookjs like a real classic
