Medieval burial ground on Devonshire Rd
in the dip just under Sunnyside apparently.
Stories abounded of flooding in this part marshy part of the park where the graves from a medieval plague-pit rose to the surface.
Spooky. But is it a true story? Certainly the map of 1851 seems to indicate this spur of parkland to be marshland. I wonder if anyone's got any more info?
