CONSTRUCTION company David McLean Group has gone into administration.
The firm, which is one of the UK?s biggest developers, built apartments at Kings Dock and was due to build 600 homes in Gillmoss before pulling out of the scheme earlier this year.
The multi-million pound company was involved in several regeneration schemes in Liverpool, including the East Village housing and leisure development in Duke Street and the initial regeneration of Princes Dock.

Just heard it said on the Granada News that this could lead to a significant delay in the development of the Garden Festival site.

It's scary that the "Credit Crunch" is already having an effect on big companies resulting in them going into administration. I feel so sorry for the people who are going to lose their jobs and wonder who'll be next.

PLANS to build hundreds of apartments at Kings Waterfront, in Liverpool, are in jeopardy after housebuilder David McLean collapsed into administration yesterday.
McLean, one of the region?s best-known construction and property developers, had planned to build 429 apartments on a site next to the new Echo Arena and BT Convention Centre as part of the massive redevelopment of the Kings Waterfront area.
