That building is in Toxteth, just a bit up from the famous Colemans Fireproof Depository. Just look for a large, luminous yellow gate, which is on the same side (of Northumberland Street). The building is clearly different from the rest of the terraced housing around there (known as the Dickens Streets)
If you look at the old pic of Dickens Street on the records office site and take a 'now' pic, not a great deal has changed. The streets in that area of course contain a number of Dickens characters.
We are still running a couple of days late with POTD.

Nice pic. I take it the police didn't try and stop any photography there - not that they should of course but you know how some officials are.

What remains, but not for long.
They must work quick Ged...Wright Street has gone, already (except the corner with Scotland Road). It's possible to see into the back of the Scotland Road property at the moment, as the wall is open.
Yeah Marky. I was speaking to some people whose back yards are now exposed. They weren't worried about break ins, more about the wind and elements as previously they were sheltered. As least they'll save on the lecky though.
Tour of Britain Cycle Race. Derby Road/Raleigh Street, Bootle. I've never been certain whereabouts the Liverpool/Bootle border is along Derby Road.

Customs Depot, Toxteth Dock. This was taken in January this year...winter is about the only time you can see this building properly.

Re: Customs Depot
Just have a look how the leaves obscure this building, next time you pass. A Grade II Listed building that goes unoticed, for most of the year. It's on the left, just before the 'anchor roundabout', if heading into the city from the South.
