I found about 25 photos recently while mooching around an old Liverpool Warehouse..
I've searched high and low for info on these photographs and who they might belong..
I've looked in the LRO 'Liverpool Docks' folders and come up with nothing..
If anybody has seen these photographs anywhere.. or know who they belong to..
please let me know... and I'll gladly remove my copyright mark..
..The Liver Building.. under construction around 1909/1910 in the distance..
with workmen working on the now filled in Trafalgar Dock area..
(an area I'm never away from...I've stood on that spot hundreds of times...
took hundreds of photos... and made vids of that area today...what a photo !!..)

Princes Parade..date unknown..
Is this photograph where the name Princes Parade came from ?
I have more taken when this was taken..
further up Princes Parade... Royal banners out..
everybody done up waiting for a Royal party to arrive..
http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c6...ncesParade.jpg
Great pics Gerard, i've never seen them before. Royalty arriving by liner by the looks of it then.
Well done Gerard! amazing find,.....but..............the copyright mark obscures a lot of the detail, any chance of making it bit smaller maybe? :)
Oh, I thought it was the watermark we were looking at:evil::slywink:. must agree with others, great photos and can understand you wanting copyright but, it'd be great if you'd let us see more of the photo while still stating your copyright..
Why thank you Grekko lad.. any in particular..?
Yes it would, wouldn't it lad..eh.?....
Ruins the photo doesn't it ?...Rrrrrrr. such a shame that, isn't it..eh..eh.
Watch this space Grekko...
when I'm good and ready I'll let you know when they are on my website..
without all them nasty horrible copyright marks...
Thanks again Buddy..
Gerard.
Gerard, I have been away from this fine forum for far too long. It will take me quite a while to catch up on your more than splendid pictures, my good man.
These are superb pics, real gems.
Really good to see there are still totally unseen pics around.
There must be thousands sitting in lofts, drawers, its so good to see some appear here, cheers Gerard.
Mart
Great photo,s . Just a point, if you found the pic,s
the copyright aint yours, really you should mark them
as copyright unknown
Sorry Liz... I missed this comment of yours..
I can only apologise Liz for the over the top copyright mark..
until I find out who actually owns these old photographs I feel I need to protect
them from ending up all over the web..
Who after all... wants photos with MY name all over them ?
And this bit is serious.. and in no way Lizzie directed at you..
you are a regular commenter on my photos.. and I appreciate that very much..
Grekko...you have never passed a single comment on any of my photographs.
until your sarcy comment about the recent ones with the overdone copyright mark..
There might be more of these old photos coming soon with the same overdone
copyright markings on them..
All I can suggest Grekko... if they are not to your liking then dont look at my photos..
Thanks..
Gerard..

I'll mark them as I want Steve.. until the owner proves they belong to them..
and again.. if you don't like the copyright marks..
dont look on this thread..
Excuse me please folks if I ignore all comments about copyright marks from now on..
Thanks all.
Gerard.

The old photographs with overdone copyright marks have been removed..
They served their purpose on Yoliverpool..
and got the exact response I expected..
When you hear more about these photographs in the future..
you know exactly how good they are and what to expect..
Thanks..
Gerard.

I used to use >> This Steve...
Its not Mac compatible so I have to use something else these days..
Use the trial period...I think its free forever..
all the pay version allows you to do is copyright mark hundreds at a time..
This is the easiest watermarking programme to use...
If you try it and get stuck get in touch..
Gerard.
What a shame that you are so over-protective of your images! They are often very impressive, but I myself have been following your advice for some time now and not looking at your Thread... which may seem pretty silly really; but I do find that watermark really frustrating, in that I can't appreciate properly what lies underneath it. I'm surprised that you don't seem to be able to understand this point.
And I'm sure if anyone really wanted to nick them, they wouldn't in any case see the watermark as a major impediment - as I thought I'd already demonstrated to you on a previous occasion where you seemed unnecessarily touchy...
Mr Doh, Mr Fleming has his reasons & it has been discussed at length. I think we all accept them now as part of this fabulous thread.
:PDT11
We all accept this, then? - Apart from me, then?
And that's the crux of the matter. Better to see the pics with the watermark on than not at all.
Well put Marty1, your reply too, Ged. Gerard sometimes puts pics without the watermark for personal download, I think he should protect other pics that could be exploited for commercial gain. He's also let everyone know when his pics came from a unknown photographer, using his watermark to give some protection from carpetbaggers.
Best wishes to John Doh, Marty1, Ged and Gerard,
Chas:PDT11
Hi Gerard....I understand about the copyright stuff there are a lot of dodgy people here in cyber space! ....but they are fantastic pics......... I was just being greedy and wanted to see all the detail! :) I look forward to seeing them if and whenever you decide to show them again.
Thank you my Yo friends for the comments and support over this copyright debate M'larky..
I appreciate it from you all...
I've decided though to just let it go and dont take the bait..
the best way to annoy and get to these Cyberspace nutcases is to ignore them...
Kev is aware of my thoughts and feelings about my weirdo lurker on here.
Cheers folks..
Gerard.
