Celebrity Big Brother 4 to start on Jan 5th 2006

The new series of Celebrity Big Brother starts on Channel 4 on January 5 and lasts 16 days.

I'm partcularly interested because there are 3 scousers involved this time!

The Star says Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin is to take part in the next edition of Celebrity Big Brother!

Where was Derek? Only scouser Pete Burnes Michael Barrymoore and George Galloway, wtf?

The rest are instantly forgettable apart from the non-celebrity Chantelle who has the task of trying to convince the others that she too, is a celeb. Not very hard concidering knowone knows each other for there talents on screen. Chantelle will be the true winner from all this crap.

Dead or Alive Jewish frontman Pete Burns has emerged as one of the contestants in this year's Celebrity Big Brother.

Pete, now in his late 40s will be competing against ten other people including: Michael Barrymore, Rula Lenska, Jodi Marsh and George Galloway.

Since 1977, he has been making music with You Spin Me Round being his most famous hit and has been married for over 25 years to his wife Lynne.

His looks are a result of having reconstructed surgery to repair a botched plastic job done on him.

"I've got no problem with other people, it's usually them who have a problem with me. I'm not a team player, I play for myself," he told TV viewers.

Pete, owes his uniqueness to his mother who had to flee Nazi Germany.

"She was a holocaust survivor from Berlin, a German Jew and an aristocrat - she lost absolutely everything. She came from this incredible fantasy life where she wore glass shoes that you couldn’t even walk in... it sounds camp, but it was her life. She encouraged me to be expressive and not to think about other people’s opinions.

He adds to his memory of his mother:

"My mother had a very uniquely German sense of humour and they called it a 'gallow's humour'. She could always find humour in things that had happened apart from the fact of what Hitler's occupation had done to her life."

My account has just been approved . I think with the Barrymoore 'thing' is he's very much part of my growing up, appeared on many-a-tv programme when I was a kid. I did feel quite confused but sad also when he went in last night, despite the issues/ controversy.
