I will try and get to see the finale tomorrow if I can - - I am not at all anti-La Princess - - just, as I say, disappointed that we didn't get a magnificent Neptune, Minerva, Liver bird or something like that.

La Princess, of course, is an amazing spectacle and would be great for any festival ... it's just that a scary spider was the last thing I expected

I am glad that people have enjoyed it and I don't begrudge any money that has been spent on it.

It's better than ANY stupid superlamb thing. Although it is a little disappointing I can see that brains were needed to constuct such a beast.Even though it doesn't represent anything to do with L/pool (just like those ugly SLB'S) I like it . It's a work of art

Weathers not good enough for It. Wouldn't be spectacular without any sun on the spider thingy.

When we had sun on Thursday, I went to West Kirby.

Most of the city centre has become too bland for a monster movie feel I could get from snapping the spider pretending It's escaping or whatever either.

Then there's getting through crowds.

Did anyone see all those people getting soaked at Derby Square? by the water cannon. I thought I'd found a safe spot, but when La Machine turned the corner out of Castle Street, the crowd were pushed back and wallop! they fired the cannons. Worst soaking ever.
