Something just doesn't add up...

I can see Cammell Lairds from my flat, and yes toady I can see the Spider,
still just hanging there... just like yesterdays photo.

So, why keep SUCH a closely guarded secret, on display to Birkenhead and Liverpool for two days?

Its either:-

1) A decoy
or
2) Something for the biennial
or
3) a decoy!

The machine will be a fairtale \ magical creature, not something that will terrify most people.

Look at the official website,

La Machine ?*Liverpool 5/6/7 September 2008

A liverbird at the top, and two (phoenix) Liverbirds at the bottom... thats a bit more relevant to the city than a spider.

On the website under 'visit'
Special Effects
La Machine features a series of spectacular special effects involving water, wind and loud noises among other things. You may like to bring wet weather gear even if sunny!

Spiders dont do that! and looking at that photo, and seeing it my self across the water (with binoculars ) It doesnt look like it animates, its just hanging there, body looks solid, the machine is meant to be open to 'see' the workings..and it doesn't deserve the name la Princess!

I vote Decoy!
I HOPE decoy!

I do hope you're right.
We don't want it to go down in history that somebody registered with yoliverpool just to spoil the surprise for everybody.

Why do you have to go and spoil the surprise? Did you come on here just to do that? Shame on you.

It's been visible from Toxteth all week, for anyone who noticed the large cranes. I've seen it moving around whilst music was being played. I wouldn't have posted a pic until the end of next week. Keep a look-out for closure notices around the Tunnel. As this is an abnormal load, most likely it will require an escort through the Tunnel. I reckon it will slip through on the sly in the early hours of the morning, at the end of next week.
