in the 60's my dad ran the Raven Hotel (Higsons) on Exmouth St, and i heard the nick name then, it was because at the week end the place was awash with blood from all the fighting.

OMG my lot ran it then

My great Uncle John Hogan and his wife Sarah ran it from the 1950's until into the 70's. family members would help out in the pub.

I know nothing of the area, so i dont know the Raven Hotel sorry, I assume it is close to the Dock Hotel. If i get the ferry over, is it easy to find? I believe it is near to the tunnel entrance?

I wonder if anyone is still around who remembers my family running the pub?

The disused tunnel entrance. There were two, now only one.
Easy walking distance from the Norfolk Line ferries.

What road was the Raven on?? Must say it doesn't ring a bell.

Gnomie...I'll ask around, I think one of my mates parents comes from around the Dock Cottages and Oak/Eldon Heights.
