I received this email.
I have black friends so I am no way racist.My friend who is married to a black girl seen this and said.."Yeah it makes you think".
So what is your opinion?

How many are actually paying attention to this?
There are African Americans,
Mexican Americans,
Asian Americans,
Arab Americans,
Native Americans, etc.
...And then there are just -

Americans.

You pass me on the street
and sneer in my direction.
You Call me 'White boy,'
'Cracker,' 'Honkey,'
'Whitey,' 'Caveman,'
... And that's OK.

But when I call you ******,
Kike, Towel head,
Sand-******, Camel Jockey,
Beaner, Gook, or Chink
... You call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot
of violence against you,
so why are the ghettos the most

dangerous places to live?

You have the United Negro College Fund.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Black History Month.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi.

You Have Yom Hashoah.
You have the NAACP.
And you have BET.

If we had WET
(White Entertainment Television)
... We'd be racists.

If we had a White Pride Day
... You would call us racists.

If we had White History Month

... We'd be racists.

If we had any organization for only whites
to 'advance' OUR lives
... We'd be racists.

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,
a Black Chamber of Commerce,
and then we just have the plain
Chamber of Commerce.
Wonder who pays for that?

If we had a college fund that only gave
white students scholarships
... You know we'd be racists.

There are over 60 openly-proclaimed
Black-only Colleges in the US ,

yet if there were just one 'White-only College'
... THAT would be a racist college!

In the Million Man March,
you believed that you were
marching for your race and rights.
If we marched for our race and rights,
... You would call us racists.

You say you are proud to be black,
brown, yellow and orange,
and you're not afraid to announce it.
But if we announced our white pride

... You'd call us racists.

You rob us,
carjack us,
and shoot at us.
But, when a white police officer
shoots a black gang member
or beats up a black drug-dealer
who is running from the LAW and
posing a threat to ALL of society
... You call him a racist!

I am proud. But I can't say it, because
... You'd call me a racist.

Why is it that only
whites

can be racists?
There is nothing improper about this e-mail.

Let's see which of you
are proud enough to send it on.

Non-whites aren't called racists because they haven't got a history of discriminating against people because of the colour of their skin.

Yo Zappa,
I have got to put my hand up and say that I am probably racist. My skin is white (ish). My crime is that I tell Irish Jokes.
All around our globe, I've got mates and their skin colours vary. I have travelled to meet them and they have also come to Liverpool, Amsterdam and France to visit me.

I do take your point on this racist thing and I can understand the anger and confusion which this can cause. Me and my mates are happy inside our skins.

I think a lot of it comes down to lack of education and ignorance.
Haven't most "White countries" got an appalling racism issue of some sort.?
Are the Scousers a racist if they don't like Mancs?

The law defines racial grounds as including race, colour, nationality or ethnic or national origins, (see link above).

I am not racist but i agree with the words of that e-mail. Also PhilipG quoted : Non-whites aren't called racists because they haven't got a history of discriminating against people because of the colour of their skin. I beg to differ, i lived in London and my neighbours were 2 black families and 2 Asian families and the black families were VERY racist to each other, so much so that it was uncomfortable to live there. One of the women wouldn't allow her partner to talk to 'white' women and the other was just rude and abusive.
