Built in 1888-89 as a childrens home. It had 24 buildings known as cottages,
each housing 25 children plus a house mother and a house father. Now taken over by the NHS for various functions. Each cottage is now called by a flower or tree name. I should think there are many still living in Liverpool now who
resided there.
