Hi everyone, I am after a contact name /number for the above. The limited information I have is that the Society meets on the last Friday of each month, except August, at Island Road Methodist Church but I would like a contact name / number or email address. I'd be grateful for any help.
Thanks
Jeff

Taffy, on this site, is the person you want.
No doubt he'll be in touch with you, or you could PM him. :)

I've replied to Jeff. The society actually meets on the first Friday of the month at 7.30 pm in the church rooms of what is now called the Garston Park Church ( old Island Rd Methodist Church)

The Garston and District Historical Society now has a web site:

http://www.garstonhistoricalsociety.org.uk/

The site is very preliminary and will be enhanced over time. At the moment it has some information about Garston's history plus a selection of Garston photos old and new. It also has a list of the society's historical publications and DVDs for sale

Interesting site there,Taffy! A bit disappointed to hear the roman rd,probably isn't!? It would be great, if someone did some archeological study of the area!

I enjoyed the site, and in particular the 'past' and 'present' photo's of the area, hope there will be more of these, I would have liked to add my thanks to all concerned, pity there is'nt a "sign our visitors page", perhaps this could be added as the site progresses.:PDT11
