Had to get off the ferry yesterday at Woodside to buy some batteries for my
camera came across this magnificent building

I think they taught chidlren up to 14 years rather than the then norm of 12 years.

Great photo's Greg's dad. brougt back a few memories there.
When i was at school this was conway st Girls school, i was across the road
at Hamilton Sec Mod for boys. the girls used the upstairs of our art anexx for
cookery class, still remember the smell of fresh baked loaves and cakes :PDT_Piratz_26:.
Ill have to go back there and photograph the old school.

It is a magnificent building...but would have looked far better had the surrounding Conway Street/Claughton Road area not been flattened!
I go past there everyday en-route to college in Claughton

The flyover's gone which has improved the view of that side of Conway Street, and the two former cinemas, but the Ritz has been demolished, another criminal act.
I took some close-ups of that school.
It's a great building.
