I vaguely recall reading about an animated screen being put up on Lime St.
Does anyone know if that's what this framework is for? or is it just an extra sturdy ad hoarding.
It's quite a substantial structure and looks permanent by the way it's secured.

from what i have heared it will be a huge tv screen
The first stage of the centre’s revamp was revealed in August last year when Land Securities announced plans to build Europe’s biggest TV screen as part of a media wall on the centre opposite Lime Street station.

cheers Drone. I was sure I'd read summat about it, but my memory not what is was. It's me age you know lol.
I wonder if they've taken into consideration that moving images may distract drivers on Lime St.
I agree with Howie too :PDT11

The police did protest at the time about the distraction risk. I think they agreed to make the screen part a bit smaller but otherwise ignored them.

Couldn't agree with you more...you come out of Lime Street Station and what's the first thing you see??? A ugly 1980's Multi Story Car Park.
As much as I like the St Johns...it could have been designed more sympathetically considering it is next to the St Georges Hall etc.
The hoardings now installed as a little garish in my view. I was down Seacombe Ferry on the bus the other day, and the bus stop there has also been "daubed" in cultural artwork. From afar it looks as it someone has smudged blue paint all over it!
Why did they build that piece of crap In the first place? The buildings on the old photos I've seen were brilliant to keep and could of been like a smaller Piccadilly circus.
The council must be lizard people.
