Thanks, the car is a 1966 Vandenplas Princess 4 Liter R. It was a joint project between Vandenplas under the umbrella of BMC and Rolls Royce, I use it as my everyday car. As the average MPG is only about 14 to the gallon, (on a good day) I am thinking of passing it on.

What a shame, a very rare future classic.

Stan, does it have a Rolls Royce engine?

Chris, yes it has a four-litre Rolls Royce engine, it was specially developed for the car. Last year I meet the man who developed the engine.

"GX" on the plate means it was first registered in the London area, I think most of the 'G's were London bar for Belfast which was GZ , and a couple of others , I used to know a lot of them when I was a kid, the Lower K's were Liverpool, EM was bootle, I think the system for locations on plates has changed there now , our kid was telling me a few months ago, lovely pic of the car though, my brother had a lovely Rover coupe, he struggled to sell it, in the end a car museum from wales bought it.

I'd keep it Stan. I know the fuel hurts but what a car. You must feel a million dollars in it. Also, farina style cars are starting to look like true classics now. My first car was a Morris Oxford and I loved it.
