Anybody remember the large white building used by W H Smiths as a warehouse on the left hand side of Tithebarn St going towards the Pier Head

Anybody remember the large white building used by W H Smiths as a warehouse on the left hand side of Tithebarn St going towards the Pier Head
It was called Hornby House when Smith's had it, between Vernon St and Cunliffe St.
Isn't it still standing?
At least the main frontage is, with new apartments being built on the rest of the site.
If it's the one I'm thinking of, it was a college in the 1980s, then it was Walton House.
The art deco one, isn't it student accommodation?

Remember it well. Spent three years of my life sat in there as a student (1987-90) when it housed Liverpool Polytechnic's humanities and social studies library. Think it's called New Century Apartments now.

Yes that`s the one, I have seen this but couldn`t relate it to the way it was
Anyone remember the pet shop near it which sold all types of animals,if you got a pup for xmas it most probably came from there.
That was Ma Daley's and here it is next to the United Powers pub, the building is still there.
