hello again from N.Z.
In my search for family history I have come accross the above street which I am sure from the census returns must be of significance in liverpool as it seemed to be full of shops in 1891, which is where my great grandma and grandpa moved to upon getting married in 1882. However the census doesnt show addresses for 1881.
Can anyone tell me what great homer road was called in 1871 as I cant find it in the 1871 census, and, if it was full of shops at that time. your help as usual greatly appreciated.

regards. jabs

City point is an office block development on the corner of Gt Homer st and Prince Edwin st. Here, the steelwork and concrete staircases are up.
