Oh, yes.
Me too.
Both Holly and her best friend (Scamps), are no longer with us.
Scamps belonged to a friend.
What breed was she, qg?
The body of a rough collie, isn't it?

I know the feeling too Quincy. I still have a little carved box with the ashes of one of my old dogs.

we got a carved box, which we weren't expecting. we'd already planned to put her ashes in the planter so just buried the whole thing. I opened the box and the crem had tied a pink ribbon around the top of the bag with the ashes in. That started me off, I'd been ok until then, just that little touch made it more personal in a way. We'd had Deirdre just shy of 13 years so it was quite a loss for us. But like so many people have told me , as she was a rescue dog we gave her years she may never have had.

Our old dog was getting on for 16 when he died. A grand old age. He'd had the best of everything !
He was a character - everyone in my area knew him. Even years after he died people would often mention him. :)

that is a good age. We lost Deirds in January and even now people still stop my hubby when he's out with Giebs asking where the other dog is.
