Hello everyone,
This is my first post so appologises if I have put my thread in the wrong section.

I need some info on a road in Liverpool.

The road is called Parkfield Road

I have added a link for you to see where it is.

http://www.bpas.org/clinics.php?clinic=5

Now I do know it is now a bpas clinic right now but does anyone know if this was also a bpas clinic 15 years ago??

There is a genuine reason for finding this info out and I would be very gratefull indeed if anyone could help me find this answer.

A family member is writing a book and part of it relates to an abortion clinic which a dear friend went to,she thinks this could be the one but she needs confirmation that this building also arranged abortions 15 years ago.

So sorry its a little sensitive but I really need to find out if this building is the same building which arraged abortions 15 years ago.

Thank you very much.

You could try asking them.

You could try asking them.

And they will probably say no, or we don't know as we are a different company.

I went into the clinic once. It was controversial and had some protesters outside once. It was near Aigburth Rd on the left hand side from Aigburth Rd.

I drove taxis before I emigrated in 1982, it was an abortion clinic then and had been for years, I am not sure when it first became one.

In the mid 1970s.

Link says:

History

bpas was established as a registered charity in 1968 to provide a safe, legal abortion service.

The clinic is at 32 Parkfield Rd. It's been there for quite a time as far as I recall . There's a photo on this web site

The house once belonged in the 19th C to some relatives; so I've had an interest in the building for a number of years.
