Anyone heard/read about Dot Reid's fight to stop Tesco from bulldozing her community?

You can read about it here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/merseyside/7344045.stm

If you want to support Dot's planning application you can make a comment here https://fastweb.welhat.gov.uk/detail.asp?AltRef=S6/2008/0668/FP&ApplicationNumber=&AddressPrefix=&Postcode=&CaseOfficer=&ParishName=&AreaTeam=&WardMember=&DateReceivedStart=&DateReceivedEnd=&DateDecidedStart=&DateDecidedEnd=&Locality=&AgentName=&ApplicantName=Dot+Reid&ShowDecided=&DecisionLevel=&Sort1=FullAddressPrefix&Sort2=DateReceived+DESC&Submit=Search

I have as follows:

"I wholeheartedly support Mrs Reid's planning application. Tesco need to learn they cannot just knock people's homes down to make way for another way to rip off farmers and the small trader. How ironic that a none community minded chief exec should lose his home to a community minded enterprise!"

If enough people get behind this it would give Sir Terry food for thought! Might even cause enough of a stink to make the national news!

Just read about the legendary grandmother this morning on BBC Local News Website. I want to shake her hand, and pinch a Werther's Original from her handbag.
