Unable to see photo's

On some photo,s all I see is a little square with a red X .When clicking on it nothing happens

they are ones which for whatever reason are no longer online, say somebody had only put them on their website temporarily

if u are browsing from work, then some sites maybe blocked as they are for me, flickr for example.
