In all honesty.....
Crap!!:PDT_Xtremez_42:
I just don't get the idea of ripping someones tracks/music off and lengthening it by means of computer.
Too many tunes like this just repeat the same thing over and over again
Trance=Another word for messing with artists tunez.I no longer see any skill involved in these sounds. All done by computer (sometimes a casio keyboard).
Credit where credits due to the artist who originally recorded the song.
I once had a floyd trance album.Worst floyd album I ever heard.:PDT10

The biggest problem with Trance in general is that it's not the original trance.
Back in the days of Trance Energy with the likes of Ferry Corsten and Johan Gielen, trance music meant what 'trance' said in the dictionary - i.e 'in a dreamlike state' and lots of music did just that.
These days Trance seems to be music that has been speeded up and lengthened and finally folded due to the clubbers moving on to things like progressive and the like.
Music is subjective so you'll only ever get personal opinions anyway.
Proof that our records back then were the best is in the fact that so many of todays artists sample them - I remember one chart last year that had about 6sampled songs in the top 20 - yet to hear funky moped by Jasper Carrot tarted up though :)

I agree with you Cadfael, but in my opinion, once Ferry Corsten came on the scene, lots of people started to make what they thought was trance music, but it sucked big time.
I love progressive trance and reckon that the best trance stuff can be found in the record boxes and on the mix cds of Sasha and John Digweed. Proper trance stuff that would never get mainstream, but do what it says on the tin when you're out clubbing it.
As I said, only my opinion.
Lee, I'll have a listen to your stuff fella and get back to you..... :)

Alright Lee!
Had a little listen over the weekend. Keep it up!
Some of it sounded very techno in parts (reminded me of Carl Cox, Jeff Mills ...and others)
Good stuff!!:PDT_16:
