This is the 1959 OS map to be going on with.
When Ged logs on, he'll probably be able to help you regarding photos.
If you're local, the Record Office have a great collection of photos.
Take ID and ask for the streets you're interested in.

That's all I've got from the 1950s, but the Record Office at Central Library have the others.

Where was Croft Street in this vicinity then please anyone?

Croft Street is still named in a 1980s A-Z as being in area 2D, page 67. I can't find it yet.
Edit: It doesn't appear on the map I posted above, but in the A-Z book mentioned it appears in tiny letters CFT.S between Epworth Street and Moira Street.

Croft St. (6). 14 Epworth St.
No properties are listed.
Just 2 in Epworth St., which starts at 21 Prescot St.
Thanks for your efforts guys, appears it may be that un-named dogleg off Epworth street on Marky's map then or that little strip where it joins Moira st.
