View Full Version : logging-in
lindylou 02-06-2006, 05:43 PM Any ideas why I have to log-in my user name & password every single time ?
Also, when I'm reading the board or sometimes posting, or if I take a long time typing a post, I've been 'cut off' and have to log-in all over again(losing the text) On occasions this can happen 3 or 4 times very quickly.
It's not so much of a problem as just irritating. I've ticked the 'remember me' box but this never works.
This happened to me when I first joined the forum some time ago - (Kev, you may recall me asking you about it) - but after a while I could click straight onto the forum thru' my shortcut without having to log-in.
Now I've reverted back to the original problem. (it's been like this for a long time, I just persevere with having to constantly type in my name & password EVERY time .. grrr.
Any suggestions ?

I often found this happening when I never ticked the 'remember me' box.... have you tried clearing your cookies?
Tools > Internet Options > Delete Cookies
Other than this I have no idea :(

I had a similar problem lindylou and what I found worked was firstly, switch off the pc at the power source then switch back on and restart. Then, take a hammer - a Ball Pein or Lump Hammer is recomended - and before the Windows page appears, proceed vigorously to hit your computer, a minimum of 73 times, but of course, no more than 103! At this stage take what remains of your computer and lower it into a pre drawn bath of hot water which should preferably contain a considerable amount of Radox (foam not salt!). I find Radox Pure Indulgence Embrace Me particularly effective which may be because it contains Cinnamon and Acacia, though this has not been scientifically established as yet. After aproximately 45 minutes, remove the computer, shake and dry with a white fluffy towel, and hopefully (fingers crossed) your problem will be at an end. Hope this helps.

OMG, lol
Its an issue with your cookies, clear them as has been suggested. Then try again.
Very sorry you are experiencing this problem. I had a similar problem with the gallery logging me out every time I visited it, now it is fine.
When posting a thread and you think all is lost, check your options above on your browser and click on the arrow to go forwards again, I find it works for me.
lindylou 02-07-2006, 09:58 PM Thanks for replies everyone. :)
Will try clearing the cookies.
