It's rough out there tonight with the wind gusting so bad I'm waiting for my windows to pop in any minute. I heard a rasping noise against the gable end of the house and with torch in hand braved the wind to investigate. I found the dogs kennel, minus the dog slowly scratching it's way down the side of the house looking to make a blot for freedom and head of to Oz to join up with Toto and the Munchkins.
I managed to pin it down and drag it back to the garden shed. Next operation was to open the shed door against the blast of the wind without loosing the shed door or more importantly my arm. I threw the kennel into the shed and hope they are both there in the morning or whenever this gale passes.
The dog is now snuggled up in his bed in the kitchen and not making a sound just in case we would dare think of putting him back out into it tonight.
