Arsenal Ladies suffered their first domestic defeat for almost two years as Everton completed a huge upset to win the FA Tesco Women's Premier League Cup.

The Gunners were overwhelming favourites going into the final at Leyton Orient's Matchroom Stadium but lost 1-0 courtesy of a first-half goal from Amy Kane.

Arsenal, who became the first club to win the quadruple last season, had won every domestic match this term before Thursday's game.

A fantastic win for the ladies, who just like the first team, are devoid of the money afforded to their plenty pot winning adversaries.
