Did anybody watch Animal 24/7 this morning?
The black mongrel called Baby (renamed Molly) was the twin of my Holly.
See my avatar.
I want another dog! :)

Thanks for answering, Molly.
It was the new owners who called her Molly.
The old ones left the poor thing in an alley 24 hours a day, and it was so friendly despite (or because of) all the neglect it had received.

it's awful how some dogs get treated. Both our dogs were rescue dogs.
we've just lost our oldest (on the left) after 13 years :tear:, the youngest one is nearly 11.
which is more years than they would have enjoyed had they not been taken in.

These old colour photos scan terrible - they come out almost black ! That's why I have posted some of my old pics in black & white.

You can just about see our dog glaring at my ceramic bulldog :D

The first pic is the dog I brought with me from the UK, she was a crossbred Alsatian/Ridgeback. The guy who bred them thought he was breeding vicious guard dogs, the whole litter were lovable softies.

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c81/sc0use/beauty.jpg

This guy was the cutest dog ever, Poodle'Unknown mix. He went blind when he was 2 but lived until he was 13.

Both lovely dogs Shytalk .... but that cutie Poodle - - aahhh ! :handclap: I bet he was a little character :)

my in-laws had a white poodle and they said he was so clever. It's often said that Poodles are the most intelligent breed.

Ahh the poodle. The poodle used to be a regular looking dog (the other dogs in the neighbourhood wouldn't make fun of him),that's the way it used to be.Until it got that disco look that's so popular nowadays.:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

He was so smart we didn't know he was blind in both eyes until the furniture got moved and he was hitting it. He knew exactly where to turn into the drive when returning from our walk, I tried to walk past a few times and he wouldn't let me.
Amazing dog!

This is our 'Queen of the house' Ruby. She is absolutely gorgeous and I love her to bits.

One evening 9 years ago the SBT rescue phoned me to ask if I would be interested in taking in a rescued 2 year old b i t c h . They made the call on route back to their base kennels after rescuing her, and asked if they could stop off on the way so I could see what I thought of her - with no obligations !! (famous last words) :)
.. at the time I'd only ever had male dogs and wasn't looking to take in a female ! .. but I said ok bring her along.
- as soon as she trotted into my living room that was it ! She was so lovely and we couldn't resist her. She has been with us ever since and we always say that she won the doggie lottery when she came to us, because she is spoiled rotten and goes everywhere with the family.
