What is it about a uniform that effects the human brain. Just put someone in a uniform and the thinking process goes out the window. Do people have to go through brain draining exercises when they are being measured up for their next uniform?
I went down to tax my car and thought I'd avoid the rush at the start of the month by going in early to buy my disc due to start on 1st March. Example one of a person not in uniform thinking logically. The clerk asked me to bring back the current tax disc and she would be allowed to let me pay my tax up to 15 days early. Example two of someone not in a uniform thinking logically.
I had to walk about half a mile to where I had legally parked my car to retrieve the current tax disc as requested. I spotted the uniformed traffic warden patrolling the street I was parked in and as a courtesy told him I was taking my tax disc down to the tax office to pay for next years tax. Example three of someone not in a uniform thinking logically.
Well you should have seen my face as the moron in the uniform advised me that if I take the tax disc from the car I must also take the car from the public road. Example one of the uniform not having a brain or the ability to think logically. I explained that I was taking the tax disc off at the request of the tax office half a mile away to buy my new tax disc and would be back within a few minutes with the new disc. No a ticket would be issued as soon as I removed the disc. Example two of the uniform not having a brain or the ability to think logically.
So I replaced my tax disc started my car drove the half mile to the tax office, double parked illegally at the tax office door, removed the disc, ran in and collected my new tax disc, came back out and into my car before the red faced uniform had been able to sprint the half mile to my illegally parked car to plant his precious ticket on me.
You see the advantage of being able to use your brain?

PS I will claim that this piece is fictional if any traffic warden can read and wants to book me for confessing to illegal parking.:unibrow:
