What is it about a uniform that effects the human brain. Just put someone in a uniform and the thinking process goes out the window. Do people have to go through brain draining exercises when they are being measured up for their next uniform?
I went down to tax my car and thought I'd avoid the rush at the start of the month by going in early to buy my disc due to start on 1st March. Example one of a person not in uniform thinking logically. The clerk asked me to bring back the current tax disc and she would be allowed to let me pay my tax up to 15 days early. Example two of someone not in a uniform thinking logically.

I had to walk about half a mile to where I had legally parked my car to retrieve the current tax disc as requested. I spotted the uniformed traffic warden patrolling the street I was parked in and as a courtesy told him I was taking my tax disc down to the tax office to pay for next years tax. Example three of someone not in a uniform thinking logically.

Well you should have seen my face as the moron in the uniform advised me that if I take the tax disc from the car I must also take the car from the public road. Example one of the uniform not having a brain or the ability to think logically. I explained that I was taking the tax disc off at the request of the tax office half a mile away to buy my new tax disc and would be back within a few minutes with the new disc. No a ticket would be issued as soon as I removed the disc. Example two of the uniform not having a brain or the ability to think logically.

So I replaced my tax disc started my car drove the half mile to the tax office, double parked illegally at the tax office door, removed the disc, ran in and collected my new tax disc, came back out and into my car before the red faced uniform had been able to sprint the half mile to my illegally parked car to plant his precious ticket on me.

You see the advantage of being able to use your brain?

PS I will claim that this piece is fictional if any traffic warden can read and wants to book me for confessing to illegal parking.:unibrow:

well, I guess that's the reason why people have to wear an uniform. Like soldiers too, or the people working at McDonalds and so on. These people shall simply do what anybody else told them as a rule. They shouldn't do what they want or think by their own. They take off their clothes, and thus they lose their personality. And if people lose their personality, sure, they may lose their brain and heart too. In Germany we call that "Work to rule".
I think, many cruelties happened only because people were making "work to rule".
There happened even a train crash once, because the train driver had to comply with many rules, which were contradictory. And he didn't knew what to do then.

But at last has everybody that problem. If you have an uniform or not. Why should the employer pay your wage, if you don't do what he wants?

After being in uniform for some 30 years I will decline to comment.
I leave it to others to be drawn into Cyber Fistycuffs.
Enough to say, that for thirty some years or so I had a brain. It was only when I left my uniform off did I appear to loose my brain.
eg; - why are we here ?? in cyberland.

On Friday last week I had to go to the centre of Birmingham to do a survey,I duly parked my car and paid the tariff for a parking ticket.safely parked,I went off to do my job and was returning to the car with 15 minutes to spare when I espied a parking warden stsnding in front of my car writing out a ticket. When I realised what he was doing ,I called out ,in as loud a voice as I could manage, "Step away from that vehicle, now !" It was 9.15 a.m. and an awful lot of office workers were on the pavements, all movement seemed to come to a halt. Old jobsworth carried on writing. I opened the car and took the ticket off my windscreen and stuck it under his nose; "What the hell are you doing ?" I demanded. He looked at the ticket and said that he had misread the date. I was enraged , "Get on your radio and void that ticket now or I will have your job taken now!!" He called the centre and cancelled the ticket, but it made me think of how many poor suckers get done by these over zealous cretins. Stick a uniform on some people and they go power mad.
